NASCAR Cup Series driver Daniel Suárez brought excitement to Las Vegas on Thursday with a jam-packed day of visits, interviews, and fan moments ahead of the South Point 400 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. From speaking with students and swapping jerseys with pro athletes to ringing in the night with the Vegas Golden Knights, Suárez’s visit captured the heart and spirit of the Entertainment Capital of the World.

Suárez’s day began bright and early at the South Point Hotel & Casino before fueling up at Starbucks and stopping by the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign for a photo op. From there, the driver of the No. 99 Trackhouse Racing Chevrolet headed to East Career & Technical Academy, where he shared his story with students, encouraged them to chase their dreams, and answered their questions during a lively Q&A session. Afterward, Suárez toured the school’s Mech Tech lab, where he checked out a car the students were building, offered his best advice, and even left his mark by signing the lab’s autograph wall.

Next, Suárez traded his wheels for cleats at Cashman Field, where he met Las Vegas Lights FC stars Johnny Rodriguez and Christian Pinzon. Together, they took to the field for a jersey swap and a crossbar challenge, with Suárez attempting to kick the ball high enough to hit the top bar of the goal.

Afterward, he kept the adrenaline going with a ride on SlotZilla, Fremont Street’s famous zipline. Strapped in, Suárez took flight from 114 feet in the air, gliding over five blocks of Fremont Street as the neon lights and energy of downtown Las Vegas rushed beneath him.

Following the zipline, Suárez stopped for lunch at The Taco Stand, enjoying some of the city’s best tacos and taking a moment to recharge before heading to his media appearances. The afternoon was packed with interviews at Telemundo Las Vegas and Univision Las Vegas, where Suárez spoke to locals, encouraging them to come out to the track and what it means to him to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.

He then visited La Bonita Supermarkets for a behind-the-scenes tour, where he tried his hand at making some of the store’s classic recipes before meeting fans, the Mayor of North Las Vegas, and a local councilman during a special meet-and-greet.

The evening shifted to hockey as Suárez visited T-Mobile Arena for a Vegas Golden Knights game. He joined the team for pregame ceremonies, performed the iconic siren, and stayed to enjoy the action before wrapping up his whirlwind day.

“Days like today remind me why I love getting involved with the local communities we race in,” said Suárez. “Seeing so many people come out to La Bonita for the meet-and-greet was really special, and getting to try some of the foods I grew up with made it even better. I’m excited to get back to Las Vegas Motor Speedway, put on a great show for the fans, and hopefully bring home a win in Vegas.”

Suárez will return to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the South Point 400 NASCAR Cup Series Playoff Race, Oct. 12. The weekend kicks off that Friday with the CARS/Legends Tour West Classic, continues Saturday with the Focused Health 302 NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff Race, and culminates Sunday with the highly anticipated South Point 400.
