As Las Vegas Motor Speedway kicks off its 25th anniversary this week, the speedway will debut its first-ever digital NFT series with a wide array of collectibles.
Beginning today at 1 p.m. Pacific Time, 10,000 free South Point 400 commemorative ticket NFTs, including 500 rare golden tickets, will hit the blockchain on RaceDayNFT.com, a new fan-focused digital marketplace.
An additional LVMS-themed NFT will be released on Thursday, followed by a Winner’s Edition auction on Monday, Sept. 27. In addition, there will be an At The Track NFT that can only be claimed by attending the South Point 400. This series follows the initial launch of Speedway Motorsports’ digital NFTs by Bristol Motor Speedway last week.
An NFT (non-fungible token) is a unique digital collectible (such as an image or video) that is officially licensed and recorded on the blockchain to demonstrate proof of ownership. Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s debut collection includes the following:
- Collectible Tickets NFT: 10,000 commemorative South Point 400 ticket NFTs including 500 golden tickets will be available today at 1 p.m. Pacific Time at RaceDayNFT.com. (Limit one per account). Note: These tickets are not good for admission to the South Point 400.
- Limited edition NFTs: 400 Las Vegas Motor Speedway Slot Machine NFTs will be available for $20 each beginning Thursday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. Pacific. (No purchase limits)
- At The Track NFT: 2,500 guests visiting LVMS for NASCAR weekend on Sept. 24-26 are eligible to claim the Diamond in the Desert FREE NFT via a QR code that can be scanned on-site. This NFT is available at the speedway on race days only beginning when gates open on Friday, Sept. 24 at 4 p.m.
- Winner’s Edition NFT: LVMS will make one of two special-edition minted NFTs available on Monday following the South Point 400. The online auction at RaceDayNFT.com begins Monday at 3 p.m. Pacific and runs through Thursday, Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. Pacific. One will be produced for the driver who wins the South Point 400 and an identical version will be sold in the auction.
Additional digital collections featured on RaceDayNFT.com will showcase upcoming NASCAR Cup Series playoff races at Speedway Motorsports venues Charlotte Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway. A new collection will be released into the marketplace during each respective race week, driving excitement toward some of NASCAR’s most anticipated playoff events.
