Lonnie Hochstetler - driver of the #23 USLCI Legend car

Where are you from?
I grew up in Cleveland, OH and now I live in Chandler, AZ

When did you start racing?
I started racing in a pure stock at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, OH at 19 years of age.  I only raced 5 races before I stuffed it into the wall and ended that car.  Then I raced shifter karts all over the country.  Then I met Jace Denmark-Gessel and he introduced me to the US Legend Cars and INEX racing.

What do you like about the Bullring?
The challenge. This is my first time racing a banked oval course.

If there was a magic racing genie, what would you race and why?
Formula 1!  Because it is the pinnacle of racing.

What are your personal racing goals?
To win an oval track championship and a road course championship.  And maybe try out a Pro Late Model.

What is your favorite pizza topping?
Sausage

What advice would you give to a young person interested in being a racecar driver?
Do your research.  Maybe start in karts because you will learn so much skill and pick up the most technical knowledge.
