The Bullring's wildly popular Night of Fire turned out to be a great chance for points leaders to pad their advantages, as well as an opportunity for two drivers to overtake the top spots in their divisions.

Leaders Chris Clyne (NASCAR Super Late Models), Vinny Raucci Jr. (NASCAR Bombers), Doug Hamm (NASCAR 602 Modifieds), Sam Jacks (NASCAR Super Stocks), Jaron Giannini (USLCI Legends) and Chloe Lynch (USLCI Bandolero Outlaws) capitalized at the July 3 event to add distance between themselves and second place. In the Skid Plate Cars division, Dennis Dowell overtook defending champion Cindy Clark and leads Scott Stockwell by three points heading into the final three events of the season, while Ashton Leonard's first career Bullring win propelled him to the USLCI Bandolero Bandits points lead ahead of Sabastian Lafia.

Clyne is looking for his first career Bullring title, while Hamm has his sights set on tying Scott Gafforini for the most track titles with six since the track's reconfiguration in 2000. Raucci Jr. and Giannini are zeroing in on their second consecutive track championships, while Jacks hopes to add a third track title to his resume.

Jadan Walbridge (Jr. Late Models) and Chris Bosley (Thunder Cars) did not compete at the Night of Fire, but continue to lead their respective divisions heading into Back to School Night on Aug. 24 and Pack the Track Night on Aug. 31. The Jr. Late Models championship will be decided on Aug. 31, with the track's other nine titles determined on Championship Night on Sept. 21.

Spectators can purchase tickets by calling 800-644-4444 or going online at LVMS.com, and all children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult. The Bullring concession stand offers great prices, including $2 hot dogs and Coca-Cola products and $3 Budweiser beers.
