The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway kicked off another year of racing with Saturday's Opening Night, and the first installment of divisional points standings have been tallied now that the dust has settled.

Eight of the nine race winners stand atop their respective classes following Opening Night, including NASCAR Super Late Models feature winner Peyton Saxton. Saturday race winners Aaron McMorran (NASCAR Bombers), Doug Hamm (NASCAR Grand American Modifieds), Michael Todd Glazier (USLCI Legends), Ron Reed (USLCI Thunder Cars), Dezel West (USLCI Bandolero Outlaws), Cody Kiemele (USLCI Bandolero Bandits) and Robert Smotherman (Skid Plate Cars) lead their divisions, while NASCAR Super Stocks race winner Robert Negrete trails Court Connell and Steve Smith by five points in that class' standings after earning fewer qualifying and passing points.

New for 2017, there will only be one track champion in the USLCI Legends division at the end of the racing season. Legends drivers will still earn national points for their specific classes (Pro, Semi-Pro, Masters and Young Lions) at Bullring races, but the LVMS short track will crown one overall divisional champion.

Drivers will earn points through Championship Night on Oct. 7, when the nine track champions will be crowned at the 3/8-mile paved oval. More information about how the points are distributed can be found in the 2017 Bullring Rule Book.

One of the most affordable entertainment options in Las Vegas, the Bullring features family friendly concession prices that include $2 hot dogs and Coca-Cola products and $3 Budweiser beer. Spectators can also save money by purchasing tickets in advance by visiting or calling the LVMS ticket office at 702-644-4444 or going online at LVMS.com.
