Dear race fans:

On behalf of all of us at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, I hope this email finds you and your family safe and healthy.

NASCAR recently confirmed all playoff dates for the 2020 season for the NASCAR Cup, Xfinity and Gander RV and Outdoors Truck series. I’m sure this announcement comes with many questions from our race fans with many of you wondering whether we will be able to have fans in attendance.

The simple answer is that we don’t know. Yet.

I can promise that every effort will be made to allow our passionate race fans to attend the event in person, but this will be done only with the approval of our state and local government and health officials. In the event we are able to have spectators, we will have the facility thoroughly sanitized daily, and we will adhere to all CDC protocols that might possibly be required, including social distancing and use of masks.

In the event that fans are allowed, there are several areas that in all likelihood will not be open to the public. This would mean no public access to the infield, including the Neon Garage, pit road, NASCAR team garages or infield camping. We also would not have a pre-race concert and fans would not be allowed on the track for any pre-race activities. We also would not be operating trams on property or buses from downtown and Strip properties to the speedway.

The accompanying graphic details what we know and what we don’t know. We are certainly hopeful that we can move in 2021 past this pandemic, get some normalcy back in our lives and return our events to the world-class racing spectacles that our fans have come to expect at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

We will continue to inform you through our website, social media channels and the speedway app as more information becomes available. Be safe and stay healthy.

Regards,

Chris Powell

President and GM
