After two successful blood drives this year, Las Vegas Motor Speedway prepares to host another Red Cross blood drive on Wednesday, July 6. The blood drive will run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and be held in the Local IQ Digital Center in the Speedway’s infield.

"We appreciate everyone that came out to donate at our previous Blood Drives in March,” said Las Vegas Motor Speedway General Manager Chris Powell. "We are proud of the community's continued support at each of our blood drives, and we look forward to hosting the Red Cross once again on July 6.”

In America, one blood donation can save the lives of up to three people, and every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. The Red Cross is working around the clock to provide blood products to hospitals. Every day, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. As a result of the blood shortage, some hospitals are being forced to slow the pace of elective surgeries until the blood supply stabilizes.

To schedule your appointment or learn more, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App or visit and enter the Sponsor Code: LVMS or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). In addition, completing a RapidPass® online health history questionnaire is encouraged to help speed up the donation process. If you have questions regarding your eligibility to donate blood, please call 1-866-236-3276.
