Summit Racing Equipment Mayhem Street-Legal Drags at The Strip at LVMS is a safe alternative to illegal street racing. With its return to the famed Strip at LVMS on February 3, all makes and models are invited to come out for a night full of speed.
This Friday night will be the first of 10 nights scheduled for 2023, allowing local racing enthusiasts to bring their cars to the iconic quarter-mile facility to match horsepower with friends, foes, or random racers.
Summit Racing Equipment Mayhem began more than 20 years ago as a way to curb illegal street racing in the Las Vegas Valley. The program has been endorsed by local law enforcement and has proven effective in reducing the number of street racing incidents on the valley’s roadways.
Participants must drive their own cars to the track, and all tires must be street-legal treaded tires. One passenger will be allowed to ride with the driver down the track, with limitations on speed, all vehicles must run 14 seconds or slower (in order to have a passenger present).
Competitor gates open at 5 p.m., and racing starts at 6 p.m. and will run until midnight.
